Jacinta Nafziger loves advocating for students as a school counselor. Before becoming a school counselor, she was a high school social studies teacher in Oregon. During her time as a social studies teacher, she enjoyed mentoring students and supporting diverse learning styles. Ms. Nafziger’s interest in helping students led her to the field of school counseling. She completed her Master of Arts in school counseling while she was living in Oregon.

Ms. Nafziger has been a school counselor since 2009 and joined the Skyline school counseling team in 2016. Ms. Nafziger’s goal as a professional school counselor is to help students find success at school and throughout life. One of her favorite parts of being a school counselor is working with students on academic goals and future career plans. Ms. Nafziger also presented nationally and co-published an article entitled Narrative Counseling for Professional School Counselors. Ms. Nafziger loves learning and believes we can learn at least one new thing every day.
