Black History Month

Black History month was created by Carter G. Woodson. It originated as Negro History Week in 1926 and shifted to Black History Month on the 50th Anniversary in 1976; the importance of African Americans knowing their own heritage and celebrating the contributions and achievements to our country; recognizing the Black experience. Black history is American history. This week's focus for Black History Month at Skyline is Entrepreneurship.
